A special CONGRATULATIONS to Mele Pita who played in the KO chess competition today against other local schools and one some of her games, she even beat a teacher!! what a fantastic effort, well done Mele!


It's almost end of term, the children have worked really hard this term and have earned a break. Please remember parent teacher interviews tomorrow from 3.15pm - 6.30pm. Look forward to seeing you all there.also friday is the last day of term and we will be finishing at 2pm. 


As part of Maori language week and topic the children labelled the human skeleton and body parts in Te Reo Maori!! you can practice these at home with your children!


Its Maori language week, to celebrate our native language the children have been working on writing Maori myths and illustrating Maori gods. They have worked hard on their stories and these are on display in the hallway outside our room, come along and have a read, there are some great stories!


We have been working on our wishes and hopes for Matariki. The class had a discussion around what they want to hope and wish for, for their future and the coming year. These on display in the hall way by our classroom. The children have really thoughtful hopes and wishes.


Last week the senior school got to go to Te Oro. It was a great experience, the children joined in dance, technology and art activites and were also treated to an awesome performance put on by Sommerville special school. It was a great afternoon had by all.
